Performing Art – Orange County
Roots & Wings Dance Project (RWDP) is a contemporary dance company founded by the Artistic Director and Choreographer Shirine Rehmani in 2016 based out of Southern California. The company repertory includes the work of choreographer, Shirine Rehmani. Roots & Wings aims to explore the overarching concept of why dance is such a powerful means of communication without using words, but rather using movement to convey emotions and concepts of what it means to be human. Ideas are found within the spaces between words, bodies never lie. It is within those spaces movement is able to articulate what words cannot. Roots & Wings is making a name for themselves as an emerging contemporary dance company in the Orange County dance community and has been performing at various venues around Los Angeles and Orange County.
