Russie Denay

I always had an interest in photography. The passion came natural to me. A matter of fact I remember getting into trouble more than once for using up all of the film that my mother had planned to use. I would take pictures of my dog, my cat, my favorite trees in the neighborhood, and my friends. After a while, my mother realized that getting me into trouble wouldn’t help anything, because she understood that I loved taking photos. So finally for my 15th birthday, I got a small, Fuji 10 mega pixel camera. I know that today, most of our phones have better camera\'s then that one, but I loved it. And the rest is history. Fleeing from the small town of Lindsay, California, I made my way to CSU Monterey Bay, where I earned a BA in Visual and Public Arts in 2011. With an even stronger passion for photography (and a better camera) I moved up to San Francisco, to pursue my dream. And here I am, always working to improve my creative ability, and always looking for stories to tell through imagery.
