Accessories – Columbus
An Ohio native, Suzanne Applebaum began creating her own stunning jewelry and accessories from fine metals nearly a decade ago in a high school Jewley Making class. Not knowing exactly what she was getting herself into, she discovered her artistic release. Suzanne continued her passion for metals with summer courses at the Toledo Museum of Art, which lead to her studies in Metalsmithing at BGSU. The Suzanne Applebaum Jewelry collection is designed and handcrafted in her very own home studio, located in Columbus, Ohio.
"I was getting compliments on my pieces wherever I would go. Friends and acquaintances began asking me to make them custom jewelry."
Suzanne describes her style as eclectic and edgy, but sophisticated. With inspirations drawing from elements of vintage costume jewelry, ancient Egyptian adornments, and Native American visual cues; Components of both modern and classical weaponry as well as rustic, modern design are also clearly apparent.
"Whether it's acting as a accent piece or a statement to your look, the jewelry you wear is a form of self expression."
Suzanne wants her jewelry to empower women to be bold and authentic as well as create a unique and interpersonal relationship between the wearer and the piece.
