Sebastian W Lyn

Photography – Toronto

Hey there! My name is Sebastian Lyn. I am an aspiring professional photographer, who has a constant hunger for learning as much knowledge I can, to eventually share it with whomever wishes to learn! As a kid I grew up surrounded by the arts, with visual as a very prominent one for me. You’d never see me without paper and a pencil. Through the years I was taught many different mediums of art from improv and acting to music and mixed media artworks. Eventually at the age of 12, I received a very basic digital camera, which I took the odd picture with. When high school came around, I was accepted into a specialized 4 year visual/digital art course which I slowly honed my skills in photography. Over the years I developed a true love and passion in taking photos, which slowly turned into becoming the primary school yearbook photographer. In doing so I was taught / slowly learned how to primarily use manual mode on the fly & learning to capture most moments during school events. On my final semester of high school, I had the amazing opportunity to intern with the fantastic photographer Steve Carty. During my time with him, I was taught to focus on shooting through the frame and to capture an entire story in one frame. This is only one of the many experiences I’ve had, and am so grateful to have learned from!
