Visual Art – Gold Coast

Shannon Shelley is a visual artist using string and nails on timber to create intricate and boldly colourful works of art. Shannon was raised on her family's farm in South East Queensland and still lives in the area today. Her country up bringing and love for animals can be seen in her works as she focuses on varied animal forms and prefers to work with rustic timbers - often found in her local surroundings. Shannon studied Visual Art and Fine Culture at University and her works often consisted of acrylic paintings and ink and resin works, however since discovering String Art she has found her niche and continues to explore her passion for colour and texture through the craft.
