Visual Art – Calgary

Art has been in my life since I was a young girl and I always knew I would be a creator. I grew up surrounded by my Grandmother's landscape oil paintings, and my Dad's taxidermy. These beautiful renditions of the natural world constantly captured my imagination and continue to inspire me. I have not been formally educated in art except for a few classes in high school, so I am primarily self-taught. My passion for art and the encouragement of my family is what has pushed me to never give up on my dream of pursuing life as an artist. Perhaps due to my experience and education in psychology, my work is created using an emotional lens, always using aspects of the natural world as a vessel to communicate particular feelings. For me, both creating and viewing art is incredibly therapeutic and I hope that others can experience this through my work. I believe that all art is a blessing, and creative expression is liberating and empowering!
