Visual Art – Northern Rivers
Shelly Anfield is a recent graduate of the National Art School and has shown work in numerous exhibitions in Sydney since then. She was chosen as 1 of 12 finalists in the Clyde & Co emerging artist award, from amongst all graduating art students in Sydney's 3 major art schools in 2015.
Shelly grew up in South West Rocks, first on a 100 acre property running alongside the Macleay River, and then in Arakoon surrounded by pristine beaches and national park. These days she lives in the beautiful Byron Shire in Northern NSW and is working from her studio there.
Shelly has always had a passion for the arts, diving deeply into dance, the written word, music, and the visual arts from a very young age. She is an avid traveler and enjoys exploring Australia and the rest of the world. This sense of adventure has also led to exploring inner worlds through meditation, yoga and other tools for self-reflection. Living a creative life in harmony with nature is her goal and what inspires her art.
