Dontashia is a mystical 26-year-old Oakland, CA native! As a Seer, Abstract Painter, Writer & Vocalist she embodies the true essence of an ancient soul. The first 10 years of her life were spent listening to old records from the 70s & 80s which led her to dream of a career in R&B music. She branched off into an interest in hip-hop around this age and studied those great MCees of the past. In middle school, she read Tupac's "A Rose That Grew From Concrete" which led her to start writing poetry. In 2014 Dontashia went on her first spiritual awakening which led her to discover she was a young Seer. Almost 10 years later she has developed an immense appreciation for the esoteric, as well as her own gifts. She has been a spiritual teacher to all who are ready to start their own healing journies. Although singing was her first love, Dontashia grew to equally love writing, spirituality, and visual art later on while attending Berkeley City College. Studying and writing about Art History is what inspired her to start creating her own visual narratives through painting. Growing up in Oakland she saw firsthand what the streets can do to a person's soul in the long haul. This is her biggest inspiration for the healing arts, no matter what the medium may be.
