Performing Art – St. Louis

I am a spoken word artist who is in love with writing poetry and speaking it to the masses. My love of creative writing and poetry came around the age of 9. I have been on the stage for as long as I can remember doing speeches, plays, and poetry. I began performing my poetry in 2003 when I, along with a group of friends formed Healing Hands Drummers in which we infused drumming, dance, storytelling, and poetry all in one. We performed in schools, churches, and libraries. After 5 years we parted ways and I began performing poetry solo at private events until I started performing at the Venice Cafe open mic in 2008. Since then I have performed at Legacy Books and Cafe, The Stone Spiral, Fubar and Ciceros. I am also currently the co-host of an online radio show called Keepin\' It Real In The Midnite Hour an inspirational family friendly open mic call in poetry show on blogtalkradio.com. I am an advocate for people who are plagued by domestic violence and I often share poetry with organizations supporting that such as Reclaiming Royalty. I consider myself to be a vessel and through my poetry I change the atmosphere, become the voice of the voiceless, and share words of truth. I sincerely am setting out to change the world one word and one love at a time.
