Slitty™ is a Dominican Multimedia Artist who believes that we all have the ability to change the world and expand human consciousness through various art forms, redefining what it means to be an artist, lyricist, and a human being. His onstage performance ability is the culmination of all of the different forms of Art that Slitty™ practices. On stage, all of the lyrics, instrumentals, clothing, and more come together to create the signature, Slitty™, intense, high energy performance that anyone that sees him performing live can feel and remember. With his hard hitting bars/lyrics that really impact you and make you think and his outwardly radiating energy that pulls you in, each experience you have seeing a Slitty™ performance is unique and specially curated for that occasion. Through his performance he interacts with the audience in many different ways such as moving the crowd, call and response, getting them to chant or sing along and creating one of a kind moments with individual attendees. This signature Slitty™ performance can also be adaptable to multiple styles of events such as a Poetry Night, a showcase that involves Spanish, Latin or Caribbean style music, family friendly events and more! With a variety of sounds ranging from conscious boom-bap to lyrical trap to industrial trip-hop, he explores many levels of the human psyche. Slitty™ aims for each listener to form their own unique interpretation of the music in a way that they can relate to it based on their own experiences in life. In a lot of ways the music that Slitty™ creates often bends and merges different genres and even languages. On his projects he usually curates a sound so all of the tracks on it will fit to a certain theme or genre ,while still all being their own unique works. This can really vary from track to track so one single you might hear could be a traditional hiphop track with the usual kicks, hi hats and snares but another might be a Drill song that has a Sample from a Dembow track mixing Spanish and English languages while another might be a Jazzy Boom Bap track and so on. This is probably due to the inspiration he draws from some of his favorite musicians and bands such as System of a Down, Residente Calle 13 and M.I.A who are all known for their vocal range and experimentation. Slitty™ has been writing music since he was 8 years old living in his home country of Dominican Republic. He began to fully create and put out music when he was 15 and he has been doing it ever since for the last 12 years. With over a decade of experience in the world of writing, performing and creating various different artworks, he is more than prepared for when the right opportunity to perform arises. On top of this, Slitty™ has been putting together and hosting events of his own, which has provided him with the knowledge and experience of how events work and has improved his overall stage presence as an MC. Throughout the past 12 years Slitty™ has opened for national artists such as Cypress Hill (Columbia), Joyner Lucas (Atlantic), Casanova (ROCNation), Palmer Squares, Bas (Dreamville), Stalley (MMG), King Los (RCA) and Tommy Wright (SSR). He is also the recipient of the 2019 Dorry’s Award for ”Hip Hop Artist of The Year” and ”Song of the Year” for “BITMO” and Slitty™ has also been featured by Motif RI, ALIEN Entertainment, The Franchise Report and PVDLIVE.
