Solon Kollectionz

Fashion – Providence

Solonlair Joejoe Gbolor, a proud Liberian native, is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Solon_Kollectionz. With over five years of experience as an emerging designer, Solonlair is now pursuing his craft full-time, with Rhode Island Fashion Week (RIFW) marking his first-ever runway showcase. His passion for arts and crafts from an early age inspired the creation of Solon_Kollectionz, a fashion brand known for its creativity, attention to detail, and unique ability to merge traditional Liberian textiles with contemporary Western styles. The brand’s unisex collections are designed to be versatile, stylish, and accessible, reflecting Solonlair’s vision of fashion for all. What distinguishes Solonlair is his mastery in fusing Western fabrics with Liberia’s rich traditional patterns to produce innovative, high-quality pieces that seamlessly transition from concept to wearable fashion while preserving the brand’s cultural integrity. Over the years, he has built a reputation through multiple pop-up events, both independently and in collaboration with others, gaining recognition primarily in Liberia and within select U.S. markets. Driven by passion for the fashion industry, he co-organized the first-ever Monrovia Fashion Gala, an event that brought together designers, stylists, retailers, and creatives in a celebration of culture, elegance, and style. At the heart of his work lies a deep commitment to showcasing Liberia’s traditional “country cloth” on the global stage. His most recent collection, unveiled at Rhode Island Fashion Week, reflects this mission—honoring heritage while embracing innovation.
