Sophia Harrison

Hello! My name is Sophia Harrison and I am the owner of BrokenBrights Art. I'm a Salt Lake City-based Traditional Artist trying to find her voice within this loud world. I've been creating works of art my whole life, but it wasn't until I worked in watercolor that I realized how much I truly love creating. Over the years, my artistic methodology has changed. Most of my paintings are now mixed media, but heavily watercolor based. Other mediums I work in/incorporate into my pieces are Dr. Martin's India Inks, Acrylic, pencil and pen. I also use other non-medium methods to modify my work (i.e. glitter, masking fluid, etc.). I am also a photographer and I take mostly portrait photography and human interest photography. My shop's name is based off the song Broken Brights by Angus Stone. This is a song that means a great deal to me. Just like my artistic creations, it incapsulates a part of my being that can't be expressed through words alone. It's also an incredibly beautiful song I think many others can relate to.
