Stockboy Designs is the brainchild of visual artist Michael Stock. He has created a collection of bold yet simple designs, which have a certain nostalgic quality; resulting in a line of fun and quirky clothing. All clothing is screen printed by hand, (in our kitchen!) using non- toxic, water-based acrylic inks. Once printed and properly heat –set the ink creates a permanent bond with the fabric. Every garment is carefully inspected to ensure that each customer receives a unique and quality item. In 2002, Michael graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design, obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in fine art and sequential art. Soon afterwards, he began selling his artwork and clothing at local and regional outlets around New England. He is an accomplished illustrator and cartoonist, his style and body of work draw much from his daily experiences. His series of cartoons titled, People I Wish I Never Saw, a study of the human condition that finds beauty in the strangest of places. This collection was once described as “A cross between R. Crumb and the Garbage Pail Kids In 2009, Michael recruited long time family friend Adrienne Nappi to manage many of the business aspects of the company. Adrienne graduated from Southern Connecticut State University, obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Art History. She has worked as a visual merchandiser for over eight years, and has worked as a curatorial intern for the Mystic Arts Center in Mystic, Connecticut.
