Sierra Wonderlynd :: SUMERIA SIERRA

Fashion – Denver

As a young girl I was always fascinated with my grandmothers vintage Gingher scissors and what I could create ~or deconstruct~ with them. After years of traveling and selling my handmade clothing at concerts and festivals; I completed the Sewing and Design Program at the Emily Griffith Opportunity School in Denver of 2010~ Since then I have been focusing on SUMERIA SIERRA, my collection of handmade and UPcycled clothing and accessories for the modern nomad; created from fabrics and notions found from various unlikely sources in Denver and throughout my travels. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// My latest collection was created for an UPcycled festival in Denver~ SPACE TRASH featured cocktail dresses and ball gowns crafted from trash I collected from dumpsters and recycling facilities; using \"trashy\" materials, done in a high fashion style to emulate my signature runway looks. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// My work has been featured on runways and stages throughout the county, costuming for rock bands as well as Circus // Fire performers and dancers. Most recently I won the Blue Ribbon in Fashion at the Denver County Fair 2014, and will have a feature at the Green Living Festival in NYC this coming spring. I have a long list of clients whom I create and design for, my work can be seen on men and women from a variety of ages and backgrounds.
