Monica enjoys painting and creating mixed media pieces with bright colours, precise lines, and strong subjects. Recently she has dabbled in digital media via photography and photo editing software, and in scultpure with woodworking and light. Her present project focuses on women in science who went unappreciated for their incredible achievements and accomplishments during their lifetimes. Her first piece in this series features chemist Rosalind Franklin (1920 - 1958). With this project she hopes to bring more awareness to the struggles of females (cis and transgendered) in academia throughout history and in the present day. She also like bunnies :)
