Visual Art – Las Vegas
Since I’ve returned from military service in Iraq in 2005, nothing else has worked to assuage much of my anxiety quite like art and, nowhere else has felt so much like home quite like the Southwest - although I\'m originally from California. As a native Chamorro (Northern Mariana Islands), a woman, and a combat veteran, my travels and cultural interactions – and sometimes misunderstandings in dealing with those who don’t know what to make of me – have helped me produce quite a diverse portfolio. Without second-guessing reactions and simply going off of inspiration, I produce certain pieces in accordance with varying periods of my life.
