Music – San Antonio
Born and bred from all over San Antonio, TX (from the side of town filled with Taco Trucks and cheap gas stations to the areas where there's a Starbucks on every corner) these South Texas natives are bringing the Rock AND the Roll with their Indie Rock Sound!
Influenced by great rock bands of yesteryear like The Stooges, Joy Division, and the Doors, to more fresh faced Indie Stars of today like The Arctic Monkeys and The Strokes, TGITM is cranking out some hot tunes built on groovy drums, twangy guitar hooks, distorted bass, and some dirty organ/synth sounds. Topping it all of with some droning vocal sounds, a la Jim Morrison, with lyrical content ranging from details of The Holocaust to the age old expression of young love and heart break, laced with literary and motion picture references.
TGITM completed it's line up in February of 2016, and have quickly progressed and made a name for themselves by playing a vast amount of shows all over. Having already released their debut EP in October of 2016 entitled 'Cold Coffee and Stale Cigarettes' which is available for stream on Itunes, Spotify, BandCamp, SoundCloud, Shazam, Amazon and most major music distributors, the future for this young band is looking quite promising.
The band is certainly no stranger to spreading their music through raw and energetic live performances or to playing on huge stages in front of large crowds. A few noticeable gigs around the greater San Antonio area the band has played include the San Antonio College's 'Sactacular' festival which they headlined and the band's recently played showcase at San Antonio's historic Aztec Theatre in front of 900 people. The Ghost in the Machine is a young, charismatic, and energetic band that relish the opportunity to do what they love and showcase their music and art to anyone who is willing to listen.
