Visual Art – Cleveland

Theocavi is Theophilus James “Chip” Caviness, Jr., “Chip,” has been his nickname since birth. Chip's lovely wife is Denise Monique. They are the proud parents of Theophilus James, III, “TJ” and Ethan Xavier. Chip graduated with honors from DeVry University majoring in The Applied Science of Electronics and Computer Technology. Chip is in the 2019 Who's Who in Black Cleveland.  He is a member of the Deacon Board at The Greater Abyssinia Baptist Church, located at 1161 East 105th Street in Cleveland, Ohio. He supervises the Audio/Visual Department for the church, volunteers in the church office, compiles and designs the weekly bulletin, is the website designer/manager for the church website and app, is the administrator for the church's social media sites, and is a youth advocate for the G.A.B.C. WORD-in-MOTION Youth Ministry.  He is dedicated to addressing the issues of self-esteem, abuse/violence, and addiction. Chip is a member and volunteer of The Association of African-American Cultural Gardens.  Chip is quite artistic, in that he designs masks, costumes, drawings (pencil, ink, and charcoal), paintings (acrylic), digital graphic designs (Adobe programs), web design, writing children's books, and creating abstracts and other forms of Art.  He also enjoys directing and producing various forms of videography, stop-motion animation and cartoon animation (which, at times, he posts on his YouTube channel).
