Visual Art – Indianapolis
After growing up in Saudi Arabia, I developed a love affair with the Arabic language. Calligraphy class was my favorite because I relished the opportunity to write the beautiful words. I recently began painting again and decided to incorporate the Arabic language as the art it is while paying homage to my upbringing. Although I am a black American woman from Ohio, I grew up in Saudi Arabia. It's my foundation and will forever be in my heart. I have gifted each piece to different celebrities as I attend their concerts. Derek Hough, Bel Biv DeVoe, Bobby Brown, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez, Jidenna and MC Hammer have all received a custom painting. I forgot how much I love painting until I just started doing it again. I have never had a showing of my work, so this would be a first for me. Thank you so much!
