Visual Art – Indianapolis
Todd Gingerich is based out of Indianapolis, Indiana, U.S.A. He has been \"creating\" for over 25 years. He bounces between many mediums & styles. When it comes to art, he has multiple personalities. Photographer/manipulator, collage artist & abstract painter just touches the tip of the iceberg. He is very reclusive artistically, making few public appearances. Rare sightings of his work do occur, though. As prolific as he is reclusive, his showings are growing in frequency. He held his first solo show at The Indianapolis Artsgarden March 2014. He will be participating in a Modern Landscape show at Gallery 924 in Indianapolis in June 2014. Both of these feature his digitally manipulated photography of urban origin. Relatively new to the urban life, Todd grew up in the small town of Goshen, Indiana, deep in the heart of Amish country. It seems that the small town life doesn\'t really reflect in his art. His art is emotionally based, leaving the viewer to draw their own conclusion to the content. He hopes to invoke an emotional response that the viewer will come to on their own terms. He hopes that the same piece will cultivate a wide array of response in multiple views. Hopefully, the viewer will see something new every time a piece is viewed. Basically, the beholder will either love it or hate it, take it or leave it, as long as an emotion is felt, it is a success in his view. Draw your own conclusion.
