Tok Wei Yuan

Born in 1985, Tok Wei Yuan is a student/artist currently pursuing a Bachelor in Fine Arts (Photography and Digital Imaging) at Nanyang Technological University, having previously completed a Diploma in Fine Arts (Sculpture) at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. He is presently on student exchange at University of Washington for the Winter/Spring quarters 2011. Wei Yuan is interested in working between the disciplines of sculpture and photography. Visual tropes, experimental mark making, as well as the placement of figures within created spaces are themes he has pursued though both mediums. Working with sculpture and organic forms, he hopes to address issues such as evolution, adaptation and morphology, Wei Yuan is currently collaborating with photomedia artist Marni Rose Long Dworkin, on a sculpture project.
