Trinh Kien

Hi there! My name is Trinh and I was born and raised in Ottawa. Over the years I've come to recognize the importance, as well as the role that creative expression has played in my life. Art has continuously served as my outlet, my safe space, and my foundation for learning. I've found a lot of myself through music, movement, and various forms of visual arts. However, it's been photography that I've explored with the most. It combines many of the things I love into one and challenges me with its abundance of technical and social aspects. I've captured everything from family and events, to nature and sports, but since becoming involved in the film community as an actor, I've been drawn to capturing images that tell a story or evoke certain emotions and feelings. My hope is to portray myself as well as my thoughts, through the photos I take/manipulate; meanwhile, developing new connections along the way. Can't wait to see everyone at the showcase!
