Vae Savage

Performing Art – Indianapolis

Hailing from the circle city of Indianapolis, VaJaun “Vae” Savage is a multifaceted dancer and teaching artist dedicated to using movement as a tool for artistry, connection, and community. Her training began at a young age at the Motivation Dance Company in Avon where she received formal education in ballet, tap, jazz, modern and hip-hop dance. Vae continued her foray into dance at Broad Ripple High School and received honors from the NAACP Act Achievement Program. Ms. Savage has taught at the Dance East Ballet Academy and currently teaches ballet at Volume Dance Performance Arts. Her passion for dance extends beyond the classroom and onto the performing arts stages around greater Indianapolis. She’s appeared in Memphis the Musical and continues to build upon creative partnerships with other noted artists. As a regular feature with classical pianist and music sociologist, Joshua Thompson; Vajaun has graced the stages of TEDxIndianapolis, the Greencastle Music Festival, Christ Church Cathedral and the Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel, IN.
