Visual Art – Brisbane

I am an interdisciplinary visual artist. I am Interested in the interfaces between art and science, in particular Astronomy and Physics and aim to explore how art and perception might be used to express hypothesis and theory normally associated with scientific disciplines. My exploration and reinterpretation of the hidden and intangible is concerned with visually capturing varying states of change. The fascination of these intangible and changeable ‘spaces’, impel us to question our existence. I explore these spaces through observation, surveillance, framing, abstraction and interaction. These tools are used to intrigue and engage the viewer, and to ultimately touch and transform perceptions of the world. I have created large-scale sculptural public art installations and studio installations with concepts mainly expressed through sculpture, installation and video. A Brisbane based artist with a studio at Metro Arts, I have exhibited nationally and internationally since completing Bachelor of Fine Art Honours in 2009.
