Photography – Boston
Ari Leo is a photographer and videographer based in the Creative Capital, Providence, RI, and currently working in the greater Boston area. Ari took inspiration for her business name from a kind Instagram user who told her she possessed the most valuable tool an artist could have: strong creative instincts. Thus, the Vivid Instincts Photography brand was born.
Ari is a proud alumna of UMass Dartmouth's College of Visual and Performing Arts, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Design - Photography. While her main areas of concentration are portraiture, product, interior and music photography, she enjoys shooting a wide variety of subjects and is always up for a creative challenge. Ari has done photographic work for many organizations and media outlets throughout Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts, including the historic Zeiterion Theatre, the New Bedford Whaling Museum, Millennial RI, The Public’s Radio, Boston Rock Radio, Motif Magazine, and Rhode Island Pride.
Her photos have appeared in both local and national publications.
Ari prides herself on being an extremely versatile visual storyteller, constantly seeking inspiration anywhere and everywhere. She has a background in graphic design and is skilled in both analog and digital photography and printing, studio lighting, conceptual photography and video production. When she’s not taking photos, Ari can be found exploring her other creative passions, music and writing.
