Photography – Phoenix

From as early as I can remember, I have gone everywhere carrying a camera. Even though my love of photography and the visual arts was obvious, my parents encouraged that I pursued music in school. While I enjoyed being a a cellist in the orchestra and a bass in the choir, I still missed not being able to pursue the visual arts. It wasn\'t until later in life, that photography and I came back together. Since my rediscovery and subsequent obsession with photography, I have done portraiture, weddings and editorial work. During my time in New Orleans, I worked as a photographer for The Whiz Magazine. I also I provided imaging services for many of the local performers. Losing our apartment to hurricane Katrina, my partner and I made our way back to Phoenix and started over. While working a day job, I have tried to pursue as many photographic opportunities as possible. I have been concentrating on landscapes, the occasional portrait and fine art images. After losing my day job, I have decided to return to college to pursue a fine arts degree. I also donate my photography and graphics layout skills to several fundraising charities as a way of giving back to the community.
