Winter Solstice are a 6 piece Alt-folk act hailing from Brisbane, who combine their penchant for story telling with pastoral harmonies and moody undertones. Formed in 2010, they released their debut EP and began gigging in Brisbane, and the next few years saw them playing on festival lineups alongside Matt Corby and Last Dinosaurs, and supporting renowned local acts such as Inland Sea and The Mouldy Lovers.
Fast forward a few years, and new members have brought new inspiration to the band. Winter Solstice are nearly due to release a new album, a taste of which can be heard in the form of their only 2015 release, a song called Riverbend. It's simple beauty, with delicately constructed harmonies and stunningly arranged vocal,s is only the beginning of what you can expect to hear from their new swag of songs.
