Ysabel Cacho is a Manila-born, New York-based writer and photographer. When Ysabel noticed a growing digital trend towards devoting more time editing a photograph, than taking one, she decided to pick up a film camera and experiment. While others may see film photography as a more limited approach, she believes this medium offers more challenges and opportunities to think outside the box and the darkroom. Along with her film camera by her side, Ysabel relies on natural light, her instinct, and whatever is happening in the moment to take the shot.
