Zach Smith

My name is Zach Smith, I grew up in a small town in Nebraska called North Platte. Growing up I would always have a pencil in my hand and always had an interest in art, but didn’t think I would be able to go anywhere with it. So instead I decided to pursue sports. I played basketball and was offered a scholarship to college. But after two years I fractured my spine and was unable to continue playing. This would allow me to concentrate and focus more on my art work. After college I packed my bags and moved to Las Vegas where I lived for one year, and then moved to Phoenix for 8 years. I felt like I was treading water with my art, and wasn’t being inspired to do anything about it. So, again I packed my bags and headed to New York City where I currently live. From the moment I got here I knew this was the right place for me, just the culture and the ability to just take in the city is so inspiring for me to become the artist I want to become.
